What types of electrical work does Crawford Electric do?
We're a full-service electrical contractor, handling industrial, commercial, and residential projects, plus a dedicated service department, generator sales and installation, and solar power systems.
Do you handle both small repairs and large commercial projects? Absolutely. Our work ranges from small service calls and residential repairs to major commercial projects like banks, hospitals, schools, sports fields, manufacturing facilities, big-box retail stores, and medical clinics.
Can you take on industrial electrical projects like manufacturing facilities or hospitals?
Yes. Industrial work is one of our specialties. We have the experience, manpower, and equipment to handle large-scale industrial electrical projects, with on-site managers ensuring projects stay on time, on budget, and within safety standards.
Do you work on new home construction?
Yes. We provide complete residential electrical services for new construction, including full-home wiring, panel installation, lighting, and everything else needed to power your new home.
What does your Service Department handle?
Our Service Department takes care of everyday electrical needs — repairs, troubleshooting, upgrades, additions, and small projects for both residential and commercial customers.
Do you sell and install backup generators?
Yes. We offer complete generator services, including sales, installation, and ongoing maintenance for both home and business backup power needs.
What size generator do I need for my home or business?
The right size depends on what you want to power — a few essentials like your refrigerator and HVAC, or your entire home or facility. We'll do an on-site evaluation of your electrical load and recommend a generator that fits your needs and budget.
Do you offer generator maintenance and service?
Yes. Generators need regular maintenance to be reliable when you need them most. We offer maintenance plans and service calls to keep your generator ready to run.
How long does generator installation take?
Most residential standby generator installations are completed within one to two days once permits, equipment, and site prep are in order. Larger commercial installations vary based on scope. We'll give you a clear timeline during your consultation
Does Crawford Electric install solar power systems?
Yes. We design and install solar power systems and can help you take advantage of clean, renewable energy for your home or business.
Do you handle both residential and commercial solar installations?
Yes. We install solar systems for homes, businesses, and larger commercial properties throughout our service area.
How long does a solar installation take?
A typical residential solar installation takes a few days of on-site work once permits and equipment are in place. The full timeline — from quote to power-on — usually runs several weeks because of permitting and utility interconnection requirements.
Will solar power work during a power outage?
A standard grid-tied solar system shuts off during outages for safety. If you want backup power during outages, we can design a system with battery storage or pair your solar with a backup generator.
Can you upgrade my home's electrical panel?
Yes. Panel upgrades are one of our most common residential services. If your home has an older or undersized panel, we can upgrade it to safely handle modern electrical demands.
Do you install EV chargers, ceiling fans, or new lighting?
Yes. We handle EV charger installation, ceiling fans, indoor and outdoor lighting, recessed lighting, landscape lighting, and most other residential electrical upgrades.
Can you wire a new addition or remodel?
Yes. Whether you're adding a room, finishing a basement, or remodeling a kitchen, we can handle the wiring, outlets, lighting, and panel work needed to bring your project up to code.
Do you troubleshoot tripped breakers and flickering lights?
Yes. Our service technicians are skilled at diagnosing and repairing common issues like tripped breakers, flickering lights, dead outlets, and other electrical problems.
Can you install whole-home surge protection?
Yes. Whole-home surge protection is a smart investment to protect your appliances, electronics, and HVAC systems from power surges. We can install a surge protector at your main panel.
How do I get an estimate for my project?
Just give us a call at the location nearest you, or use the contact form on our website. We'll discuss your project, schedule a site visit if needed, and provide a clear estimate.
How quickly can someone come out for a service call?
We aim to respond as quickly as possible. For emergencies, we'll dispatch a technician right away. Standard service calls are typically scheduled within a few business days.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes, we provide free estimates for most residential and commercial projects.
How can I pay my bill?
You can pay online through the Make Payment link on our website, which uses a secure payment gateway. We also accept payment by phone or in person at any of our four locations.
Are you hiring? How do I apply for a job?
Yes — we're often hiring qualified electricians, apprentices, and support staff. Visit the Jobs page on our website to see current openings and apply.
Which phone number should I call — does it matter which location?
Calling the location closest to your project helps us route your request faster, but any of our offices can help you. Our Mountain Home line at 870.425.4518 is answered 24 hours a day for emergencies.
My Panel is full, What are my options?

The best option to go with is allowing our trained professionals to add a sub panel or we can even upgrade your existing panel. It's not recommended to add more circuits to a full panel.

Something is buzzing from my breaker, what do I do?

A buzzing, or sizzling sound is the first indicator when it comes to an eletrical problem. Give us a call and we will come check out the problem.
